Sloping blocks also come with their own unique set of challenges & opportunities.

With the slope of the block, height restrictions, engineering, overshadowing, drainage issues, maintenance, screening and compliance with council regulations. Each site is unique and therefore there is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach when it comes to sloping block house designs.

  • Understanding the complexity of build site issues - e.g. retaining walls, site access, height restrictions, engineering, overshadowing, drainage issues, maintenance, modelling various scenarios, screening, services analysis and so on;

  • This initial scoping establishes and defines the parameters to enable the architect to create a design that responds to the opportunities of the site and also providing the client with a realistic project budget to work with.
